Yeah, yeah. I realise there's still work for us teachers next week, but who doesn't love a last day of school? I am going to miss these kids so damn much, and this happens every bloody year Especially one that comes with a party. I think my heart is already bre So, in conclusion: rock on, RLA. ROCK ON!

Scenario: a number of pirates (i. e. NOT JOHNNY DEPP-ESQUE ONES) and the same number of ninjas engage in combat in a neutral setting (i. e. NOT ON A BOAT).

    Who wins?

Yes, I am serious. Trust me: this is important.

All right, Fergus. I know you're waiting for me to write it, so...

Good one. And DON'T let that go to your head. Not great -- just good. That's all I'm giving you.

Funny! I could have sworn I had them here --

Say, anyone happen to see oh... roughly four/five dozen chocolate frogs around?

I think I misplaced them when I somehow ended up in Finnigan's classroom this morning -- forgot where mine was, forget my own head next -- but you know how those things wander.

What gives with the mumbling, mate? That some kind of new mediation thing?

I was going to write something meaningful about life, but who am I kidding? Tomorrow's Friday, I actually have plans for the weekend, and tomorrow's Friday. Phfffft to meaningful life discussions, says I.

    Instead, I give you this:

Yes, that's signed by a Mr McDoodies. Not a word, you lot. It's his pen name, he likes it, and it's completely tame considering his first choice, which I had to talk him down from. Besides, he spelled everything right, and he promises a fully illustrated book with "lotsa action and hot babes".

Seems like I missed all the fun questions that bloke came around the other day with. Poor sod got cornered by half the class in the midst of that age old debate of ninjas versus pirates before he could get in a word edgewise. I can't even tell you how it popped up, but I can gladly report that we're all agreed that neither would win because robots with death lasers would ambush. Funnily enough, that wouldn't be the first time a visitor left without a farewell.

There's something else I meant to be writing...

    Got the robots in --

Oh, right! Finnigan the Elder! I think it's about time for another mash-up of classes. The kids have been getting whingy about the last time being before the hols, and I can't take twenty-something sad puppy eyes at once.

And Boot! Not off the hook yet, mate. You know the question, and if it's 'no', then... make it not a 'no'.

"Why is one of them frowning?"

    "'Cause he's a dad now."

I guess it is about that time to start taking down the Christmas spirit to shove in a box for the rest of the year, except I somewhat forgot to ask the class to not also tear down the alphabet and 3/4 of the classroom. Oh, hey -- HEY -- no eye-rolling. It was completely salvageable. I had them sort out the alphabet on their own, and no one really liked that motivational poster about teamwork, anyway.

I have to agree with Tommy Sanders that if you squinted at it long enough, all the people in the picture morphed into something that looked like an elephant about to be sick. The theory has been put up to a vote, and with a majority voting yea and two sorta/kinda's, I'm pretty sure that makes it scientific law now.
